It was beautiful outside today, and I got to help my foster guy set up the hammock for my foster lady.

Who Says Dogs Don't Blog?

Hi Everybody! My name is LadyBird. I'm a 7 year old female 'PitBull' mix living in Kansas City MO. Most of my life I lived outside on a chain with no shelter, having litter after litter of puppies. I was sick with parasites and heartworms and one day my whole life changed because a nice lady saw my bad situation and took me away. I spent a few days getting healthy and then a different nice lady and fella decided to 'foster' me, which means I got to come live with them and their pack of dogs IN A HOUSE! This idea of living inside was completely different then anything I had ever done before, but with the help of my foster sisters, I figured out the rules and routine quick.

Like my namesake from the TV show 'King of the Hill', I'm mellow and easy to handle. I've learned sit and stay and I love to go on walks and am potty and crate trained. I'm proud of the fact that I haven't had a single potty accident in the house or my crate since becoming an 'indoor dog'. My favorite thing to do is curl up with a chew bone by the fireplace.
